Rear Seat Assembly: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Lexus ES 300 and 2002 Lexus ES 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
    CAUTION: The cushion frame will be deformed unless holding the clips around the roots.
  1. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly. See Fig 1. Holding up the front end of the cushion assembly, disengage the clips and pull out the cushion assembly forward to remove it. See Fig 2.
  2. Remove the rear seat back assembly. Using a screwdriver to disengage the clips, pull out the belt from the RH and LH rear shoulder belt guide. See Fig 3. Using a screwdriver to disengaging the clips, pull out the belt from the center rear shoulder belt guide. See Fig 4. Remove the 4 bolts. Holding up the rear seat back assembly to disengage the hooks, remove the rear seat back assembly. See Fig 5.
  3. Remove the RH rear seat shoulder belt guide by removing 2 screws.
  4. Remove the center rear seat shoulder belt guide by removing 2 screws.
  5. Remove the LH rear seat shoulder belt guide by removing 2 screws.
  6. Remove the rear seat headrest assembly, headrest assembly center and headrest support.
  7. Remove the center rear seat armrest assembly. Remove the 2 nuts and the center armrest assembly. Remove the 2 bolts and the center rear seat armrest assembly.
  8. Remove the bench type rear seat back cover by removing the hog rings.
  9. Remove the bench type rear seat back cushion cover by removing the hog rings.
