Rear Sun Shade

The electrical type rear sun shade blocks the direct sunlight entering through the rear window in the order to ensure the comfort of the rear seat passengers. See Fig 1. This sun shade can easily be deployed or retracted by operating the rear sun shade switch located on the console upper panel. To prevent the rear view from being blocked by the deployed sun shade, the switch is provided with a reverse-linked auto-down function, which automatically lowers the screen when the shift lever is engaged in reverse. This system is controlled by the sun shade ECU and receives the reverse position signal from the back-up light switch to control the reverse-linked auto-down function. See Fig 2.
