Moon Roof Drive Gear

- Inspect the moon roof relay and switch operation. Disconnect the connector from the moon roof relay. See Fig 1. Check continuity or voltage between each terminal of the wire harness side connector. See INSPECTING MOON ROOF DRIVER GEAR OPERATION table. If the value is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness side.INSPECTING MOON ROOF DRIVER GEAR OPERATION
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 7 (E) - Ground Constant Continuity 1 (E1) - Ground Constant Continuity 5 (+B) - 7 (E) Constant 10-14 Volts 2 (PWS) - 7 (E) Ignition ON - OFF (43 Seconds) 10-14 Volts - 0 Volt 8 (IG) - 7 (E) Ignition Switch OFF - ON 0 Volt - 10-14 Volts 9 (OPEN/DOWN) - 7 (E) Moon Roof Switch - OPEN Or DOWN No Continuity - Continuity 10 (CLOSE/UP) - 7 (E) Moon Roof Switch - CLOSE Or UP No Continuity - Continuity - Connect the moon roof relay connector and check the voltage and continuity between each terminal of the wiring harness connector and body ground. See INSPECTING MOON ROOF DRIVER GEAR VOLTAGE & CONTINUITY table. See Fig 1.
