Windshield Wiper Motor Assembly: Removal

  1. Remove the windshield wiper arm cover.
  2. Remove the LH front wiper arm. Operate the wiper and stop the windshield wiper motor assembly at the automatic stop position.
  3. Remove the RH front wiper arm.
  4. Remove the RH cowl top ventilator louver by removing the 6 clips. See Fig 1.
  5. Remove the windshield wiper link assembly by disconnecting the connector and removing 4 bolts. See Fig 2.
  6. NOTE: Turning the crank arm by hand prior to the operation will make removal of the wiper motor easier.
  7. Remove the windshield wiper motor assembly by disengaging the meshing of the rod at the clank arm pivot of the windshield wiper motor assembly. See Fig 3. Remove the 3 bolts and windshield wiper motor assembly from the windshield wiper link assembly. See Fig 4.
