Headlamp Dimmer Switch Assembly

- Inspect the light control switch continuity. Check that there is continuity between terminals at each switch position. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION and INSPECTING LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH CONTINUITY
table. If continuity is as specified, go to next step. If continuity is not as specified, replace headlamp dimmer/turn signal switch assembly. See HEADLAMP DIMMER/TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.INSPECTING LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH CONTINUITY
Switch Operation Check Between Terminals No. Continuity OFF ..... No TAIL 14 &16 Yes HEAD 13, 14 & 16 Yes AUTO 12 & 16 Yes - Inspect the headlight dimmer switch continuity. Check that there is continuity between terminals at each switch position. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION and INSPECTING HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH CONTINUITY

Switch Operation Check Between Terminals No. Continuity FLASH 7, 8 & 16 Yes LOW BEAM 16 & 17 Yes HI BEAM 7 & 16 Yes - Inspect the turn signal switch continuity. Check that there is continuity between terminals at each switch position. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION and INSPECTING TURN SIGNAL SWITCH CONTINUITY

Switch Operation Check Between Terminals No. Continuity Right Turn 2 & 3 Yes Neutral ..... No Left Turn 1 & 2 Yes - Inspect the front fog light switch continuity. Check that there is continuity between terminals at each switch position. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION and INSPECTING FRONT FOG LIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY
