Test I: Seat Belt Warning Lamp For Front Passenger's Seat Does Not Flash

- Check the passenger seat belt warning light:
- Check the passenger seat belt warning operation. Remove the A/C control assembly with the connector still connected. Ground the terminal No. A14-16 (PBEW) of the A/C control assembly. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . See Fig 1. Check that the passenger seat belt warning light lights up.
- If the results are OK, go to the next step. If the results are not OK, check and replace the air conditioning panel sub-assembly. For wiring diagrams, see AIR CONDITIONING under SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS in ELECTRICAL.
- Inspect the right hand front seat inner belt assembly:
- Check the continuity. Short the terminal between terminals No. 1 and 3 of the occupant detection sensor connector. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . Check the continuity in between terminals No. 1 and 4 of the right hand front seat inner belt assembly. See RH FRONT SEAT INNER BELT CONTINUITY table.RH FRONT SEAT INNER BELT CONTINUITY
Condition Continuity Seat Belt Is Fastened No Continuity Seat Belt Is Unfastened Continuity - If the continuity is OK, repair or replace the wiring harness or connector. If the continuity is not OK, replace the right hand front seat inner belt assembly. If replacement is needed, separate the connector and clamp then remove the bolt and the right hand front seat inner belt assembly.
- Check the continuity. Short the terminal between terminals No. 1 and 3 of the occupant detection sensor connector. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . Check the continuity in between terminals No. 1 and 4 of the right hand front seat inner belt assembly. See RH FRONT SEAT INNER BELT CONTINUITY table.
