Seat Heater (Seat Back): Installation

NOTE:
For installation, reverse removal procedure except where noted below.
- Set the seat heater to the seat back cover. Install the seat heater to the seat back cover with 6 tack pins (do not substitute other metal parts for tack pins). See Fig 1. Install the left hand front seat back heater assembly.
- Using hog ring pliers, install the hog rings. See Fig 2. Install the separate type front seat back cover. On vehicles with a side air bag, install the seat back cover bracket.
- Install the front seat back assembly temporarily with the 4 bolts. Tighten the bolts securely in the order of the outer front side, outer rear side, inner front side and inner rear side. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Using hog ring pliers, install the hog rings. Install the front seat back assembly.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to damage the cover. When installing the hog rings, take care to prevent wrinkles as little as possible.
For a vehicle with a side air bag, the side air bag may not active normally with unless the bracket is securely installed. Check that the strap has no twist after installing the bracket.
For a vehicle with a side air bag, the side air bag may not active normally with unless the bracket is securely installed. Check that the strap has no twist after installing the bracket.
NOTE:
For a vehicle with a side air bag, if the seat back cover has damage the side air bag may not activate normally and therefore it is necessary to replace the seat back cover. If the side air bag deploys replace the pad, seat back cover and the frame with new ones. The side air bag may not activate normally unless the seat back cover is securely installed.
