Inspection Procedure

For circuit wiring diagram, see Figure.

  1. Check ECM.
    • Insert the already registered master key into the key cylinder.
    • Using an oscilloscope or hand-held tester, check that noise is included in CODE (E10-15) terminal of the ECM. See Figure and Fig 1 . Standard: No noise is detected. If there is no noise, go to the next step. If there is noise, find the cause and remove it.
  2. Check that the transponder key amplifier operates normally after it's replacement. If it operates normally, then the system is normal. If it does not operate normally, replace the ECM.
