Removal (Camry Solara)

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 10 other vehicles, including the 2003 Toyota Tundra, 2003 Toyota Tacoma, 2003 Toyota Sienna, 2003 Toyota Sequoia, and 2003 Toyota Land Cruiser. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove "V" bank cover if necessary to access ignition coils mounted on top of valve cover. See Figure.
  2. Disconnect electrical connector at ignition coil. To disconnect spark plug wire at ignition coil, use screwdriver to lift upward on lock claw. See Fig 1.
  3. Disconnect holder at ignition coil. Pull upward on grommet to disconnect spark plug wire from ignition coil. See Figure. DO NOT pull on spark plug wire.
  4. Remove bolt and ignition coil.
