Removal & Installation (Tacoma & Tundra 3.4L)

- Camshaft position sensor is located behind upper timing belt cover, near passenger's side camshaft sprocket. See Fig 1.
- Drain cooling system.
- Remove upper radiator hose.
- Remove necessary components for removal of upper timing belt cover. Remove bolts, upper timing belt cover and gasket.
- Disconnect electrical connector at camshaft position sensor. Remove bolt and camshaft position sensor.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Fill cooling system.
