Removal (Camry - Jan. 2003 & Later Production)

  1. Drain cooling system.
  2. Remove suspension upper brace. Suspension upper brace fits between strut towers and is bolted to top of each strut tower.
  3. Remove "V" bank cover.
  4. Disconnect necessary electrical connectors, vacuum hoses and emission tube fuel hose.
  5. Remove fuel vapor feed hose and 2 hose clamps. See Fig 1.
  6. Remove air cleaner assembly and remove air cleaner filter.
  7. Disconnect electrical connector for throttle motor.
  8. Disconnect necessary water by-pass hose. See Fig 2.
  9. Remove bolts/nuts and throttle body. Remove gasket from intake air control valve.
