Removal & Installation (Sequoia, Tundra 4.7L & 4Runner 4.7L)

- Drain cooling system.
- Remove throttle body cover located above throttle body.
- Remove air intake hose with intake air connector located between throttle body and air cleaner assembly.
- Remove throttle body bolts/nuts, throttle body and gasket from intake manifold. Manufacturer recommends removing throttle body from intake manifold with hoses attached and electrical connectors installed for access to Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor.
- Disconnect electrical connector at ECT sensor. See ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR LOCATION table.
- Remove ECT sensor and gasket.
- To install, reverse removal procedure using NEW gaskets. Tighten ECT sensor and throttle body bolts/nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Fill cooling system.
