Removal & Installation (Land Cruiser)

  1. Remove "V" bank cover.
  2. Drain engine coolant.
  3. Remove intake air connector.
  4. Disconnect throttle control connector, PCV hose and water bypass hose. Remove bolts/nuts to remove intake manifold.
  5. Disconnect water bypass hose from intake manifold thermostat on throttle body. Remove throttle body and gasket.
  6. Disconnect electrical connector at ECT sensor. See ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR LOCATION  table.
  7. Remove sensor and gasket.
  8. To install, reverse removal procedure using NEW gaskets. Tighten ECT sensor and throttle body bolts/nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  9. Fill cooling system.
