Removal & Installation (Avalon, Highlander & Sienna)

- Remove "V" bank cover. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 .
- Acoustic Control Induction System (ACIS) Vacuum Switching Valve (VSV) No. 1 and 2 are located on emission control valve set. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . ACIS VSV No. 1 is used for intake air control valve near throttle bodies which may be referred to as No. 1 intake air control valve. ACIS VSV No. 1 may also be referred to as intake air control valve No. 1 VSV. ACIS VSV No. 2 is used for intake air control valve on end of air intake chamber which may be referred to as No. 2 intake air control valve. ACIS VSV No. 2 may also be referred to as intake air control valve No. 2 VSV.
- Disconnect electrical connectors and vacuum lines from vacuum switching valves on emission control valve set. Remove emission control valve set.
- Remove appropriate ACIS VSV from emission control valve set.
- To install, reverse removal procedure.
