Removal & Installation (Tacoma)

  1. Camshaft position sensor is located on cylinder head, just in front of intake manifold. See Fig 1.
  2. Remove throttle body. See THROTTLE BODY  under FUEL SYSTEMS.
  3. Disconnect electrical connector at camshaft position sensor. Remove bolt and camshaft position sensor from cylinder head.
  4. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten camshaft position sensor bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
