Removal (Tacoma)

- The Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch is located on side of transmission. See Figure. Remove front exhaust pipe with heat insulator (if necessary) and disconnect transmission oil cooler line for access to PNP switch.
- Remove transmission oil cooler line elbow with "O" ring for access to PNP switch (if necessary). Disconnect electrical connector at PNP switch.
- Bend tabs upward on lock plate, away from PNP switch retaining nut. Remove PNP switch retaining nut, lock plate, PNP switch retaining bolt and PNP switch.
