Removal & Installation (ECHO)

  1. Drain cooling system.
  2. Remove No. 2 cylinder head cover located on top of engine, above ignition coils and valve cover.
  3. Remove air cleaner assembly for access to Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor. See ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR LOCATION  table.
  4. Disconnect electrical connector at ECT sensor and remove ECT sensor and gasket.
  5. To install, reverse removal procedure using NEW gasket. Fill cooling system.
