- Manufacturer does not list procedure for Throttle Position (TP) sensor adjustment on. Only information available is for checking resistance of TP sensor. Manufacture lists adjustment procedure only when replacing TP sensor. Proper adjustment must be performed when installing TP sensor on throttle body. See THROTTLE BODY under FUEL SYSTEMS in REMOVAL, OVERHAUL & INSTALLATION - V6 & V8 article.
- To check throttle position sensor resistance, disconnect electrical connector from TP sensor. Note electrical terminals on TP sensor. See Fig 1.
- Using ohmmeter, check resistance between terminals VC and E2 on TP sensor. See Fig 1. Replace TP sensor if resistance is not 1250-2350 ohms at 68°F (20°C).
