Crankshaft Position Sensor: Tacoma

- Crankshaft position sensor is located near crankshaft pulley, just above oil pan on driver's side of engine. See Fig 7.
- Manufacturer recommends removing crankshaft position sensor before checking the resistance. See CRANKSHAFT REMOVAL & INSTALLATION - 4-CYLINDER

- Using ohmmeter, check resistance between NE- and NE+ terminals on crankshaft position sensor. See Fig 7. Replace crankshaft position sensor if resistance is not within specification. See CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR RESISTANCE table. Reinstall crankshaft position sensor.
