Removal & Installation (GS300 & IS300)

- Knock sensors are located on front and rear left side of cylinder block. Disconnect negative battery cable. If removing front knock sensor, remove power steering pump rear stay bracket. If removing rear knock sensor, remove A/T oil dipstick and guide. Disconnect wiring at starter. Remove starter bolts and starter. On all sensors, disconnect knock sensor connector. Remove knock sensor.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten knock sensor to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . When installing starter, tighten upper mounting bolt along with clamp bracket to specification.
