Removal (ES300)

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 Lexus SC 430, 2003 Lexus RX 300, 2003 Lexus LX 470, 2003 Lexus LS 430, and 2003 Lexus IS 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain coolant. Disconnect MAF sensor connector. Disconnect VSV connector for Canister Closed Valve (CCV) and air hose. Disconnect 4 vacuum hoses and ventilation hose. Remove air cleaner cap with hose. See Fig 2. Remove front suspension center upper brace.
Disconnect throttle position sensor connector. Disconnect throttle control motor connector. See Fig 1. Disconnect 2 water bypass hoses. See Fig 2. Remove 4 bolts, throttle body and gasket. See Fig 3.
