Canister Closed Valve (CCV) Vacuum Switching Valve

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Lexus LX 470. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove vacuum switching valve. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between terminals. Resistance should be 24-30 ohms at 68°F (20°C). Check that there is no continuity between each terminal and body. If VSV is faulty, replace it.
  2. Check that air flows from port "A" to "B". See Fig 1.
  3. Apply battery voltage across terminals. See Fig 1. Check that air does not flow from port "A" to "B". If VSV is faulty, replace it.
