Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
Start the inspection from step 1 in case of using the hand-held tester and start from step 2 in case of not using the hand-held tester.
- Check operation of the VSC buzzer

- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON and push the hand-held tester main switch ON.
- Select the ACTIVE TEST mode on the hand-held tester.
Check "ON-OFF" function of the VSC buzzer with the hand-held tester.
- OK: Go to step 5 .
- NG: Go to next step .
- Check that the VSC buzzer connector is securely connected to the buzzer

- OK: Go to next step .
- NG: Connect the connector to the buzzer .
- Check voltage between terminal 1 of VSC buzzer and body ground

Remove the VSC buzzer with connectors still connected.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Measure voltage between terminal (1) of VSC buzzer and body ground.
OK: Voltage: 10 - 14 V .
- OK: Go to next step .
- NG: Repair or replace harness or connector from voltage supply to VSC buzzer .
- Check VSC buzzer

Disconnect the VSC buzzer connector.
Apply battery positive voltage to the terminals 1 and 2 of VSC buzzer connector, and check that the VSC buzzer sounds.
- OK: Go to next step .
- NG: Replace VSC buzzer .
- Check for open and short circuit in harness and connector between Skid Control ECU and VSC buzzer. See

- OK: Check and replace Skid Control ECU .
- NG: Repair or replace harness or connector .
