Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
Start the inspection from step 1 in case of using the hand-held tester and start from step 2 in case of not using the hand-held tester.
- Check operation of the TRAC OFF indicator light
.
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON and push the hand-held tester main switch ON.
- Select the ACTIVE TEST mode on the hand-held tester.
Check that "ON" and "OFF" of the TRAC OFF indicator light can be shown on the combination meter with the hand-held tester.
- OK: Check and replace Skid Control ECU .
- NG: Go to next step .
- Check TRAC OFF switch

- Remove the TRAC OFF switch.
- Disconnect the TRAC OFF switch connector.
Measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of the TRAC OFF switch when the TRAC OFF switch is ON and OFF.
OK: See Fig 2 .
- OK: Go to next step .
- NG: Replace TRAC OFF switch .
- Check for open and short circuit in harness and connector between terminal CSW of Skid Control ECU and TRAC OFF switch and body ground. See

- OK: Go to next step .
- NG: Repair or replace harness or connector .
- Check TRAC OFF indicator light

- OK: Go to next step .
- NG: Repair or replace bulb or combination meter .
- Check for open and short circuit in harness and connector between terminal WT of Skid Control ECU and TRAC OFF indicator light, IG switch and TRAC OFF indicator light. See

- OK: Check and replace Skid Control ECU .
- NG: Repair or replace harness or connector .
