Inspection Procedure

  1. Check DTC of Translate ECU  .

    Check DTC. See  b-  d under PRE-CHECK.

    1. YES: Repair circuit indicated by the output code  .
    2. NO: Go to next step  .

  2. Check Translate ECU communication  .

    Reference: inspection using oscilloscope 

    1. Remove the Translate ECU.
    2. Connect the oscilloscope to the terminal VSC+ (4) and GND (14) of the Translate ECU harness side connector.

    Start the engine, and check the signal waveform.

    1. OK: Check and replace Skid Control ECU  .
    2. NG: Go to next step  .
  3. Check for open and short circuit in harness and connector between each of terminals VSC+ and VSC- of Translate ECU and Skid Control ECU. See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  .
    1. OK: Check and replace Skid Control ECU  .
    2. NG: Repair or replace harness or connector  .
