Trouble Shooting

Turn ignition on. Check that PWR DOOR indicator light comes on when right power sliding door is open. Verify PWR DOOR indicator light goes off when right door is closed. Repeat procedure with left door (if equipped). If PWR DOOR light does not come on, diagnose problem with instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT PANELS - TRUCKS article. If PWR DOOR indicator light does not go out when power sliding door is closed, reinitialize power door system. See SLIDING DOOR INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE under PROGRAMMING.
To exit diagnostic mode, push PWR DOOR OFF switch to on position (power sliding door active) and move shift selector to any position other than PARK.
