Removal (Highlander & Sequoia)

Place matchmarks on disc and rear axle hub. Remove rear disc. Remove two shoe return springs and shoe strut spring. See Fig 1. Slide front shoe forward and remove shoe adjuster.

Using needle nose pliers, disconnect and remove anchor spring and tension spring from front shoe. Remove front and rear shoe. Disconnect parking brake from brake shoe lever.
