Removal & Installation (4Runner)

CAUTION: As high pressure is applied to the brake actuator No. 1 tube, never deform tube.

NOTE: Do not turn on ignition until work is complete.

Draw out fluid from booster with syringe. Remove lower finish panel, hood lock release lever and fuel lid release lever. See Fig 1. Disconnect 5 connectors.
Using tool (09023-00100), disconnect 4 brake lines. Remove return spring, clip, wave washer and clevis pin. See Fig 1. Remove 4 booster installation nuts, remove booster assembly and gasket.
