Inspection (Avalon, Camry, Camry Solara & Celica With Rear Disc Brake)

Clearance between parking brake shoe and lever must be .0138" (.350 mm) or less. If clearance is more than .0138" (.351 mm), replace shim under parking brake lever. See Figure. Shims are available from .012-.036" (.30-.91 mm), in .012" (.30 mm) increments. Use NEW "C" washer when installing lever.
