Removal & Installation
- Remove drive shaft. See DRIVE SHAFT .
- Place matchmarks on shaft and yoke. See Fig 1.
- Using a brass bar hammer, slightly tap in the bearing outer races. See Fig 2.
- Using 2 screwdrivers, remove the 4 snap rings from the grooves.
- Using the Universal Joint Bearing Remover & Replacer (09332-25010), push out the bearing from the drive shaft. See SPECIAL TOOLS .
- Clamp the bearing outer race in a vise and tap off the drive shaft with a hammer.
- Install the 2 removed bearing races to the spider. See Fig 4.
- Using the Universal Joint Bearing Remover & Replacer (09332-25010), push the bearing from the yoke.
- Clamp the outer bearing race in a vise and tap off the yoke with a hammer.
NOTE:
Sufficiently raise the part indicated by "A" so that it does not come into contact with the bearing. See Fig 3.
