Diagnosis & Repair Procedure

Ensure ignition is off. Raise and support vehicle. Remove transaxle oil pan. Disconnect SLN solenoid connector. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between solenoid connector terminals. Ensure resistance is 5.1-5.5 ohms. If resistance is as specified, inspect and repair circuit(s) between SLN solenoid and ECT ECU. See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS . Conduct performance check of solenoid. See SLN SOLENOID  under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace as needed. If solenoid is okay, replace ECT ECU and retest.
