Installation (Paseo & Tercel)

  1. Install ball joint onto steering knuckle. Tighten bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install NEW cotter pin. Install steering knuckle and axle hub. See WHEEL BEARING under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION .
  2. Install lower control arm. Loosely install front and rear lower control arm-to-body bolts. On Paseo, install stabilizer bar. On all models, install lower ball joints. Tighten nuts/bolts to specification. Install wheels. Lower vehicle. Bounce vehicle up and down to stabilize suspension.
  3. Tighten front and rear lower control arm-to-body bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Check front end alignment. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT section.
