Power Steering Vane Pump: Removal

CAUTION: Take care not to spill fluid on the drive belt.

Disconnect the return hose. Disconnect the hose from the power steering vane pump.
Disconnect the pressure feed tube. Remove the 2 clamp plate set nuts. Remove the bolt. Remove the 2 clamp plates and 2 holders from the tube. Using the Power Steering Hose Nut 14 x 17 mm Wrench Set (SST 09631-22020), disconnect the tube. See Fig 1.

Remove the drive belt. Loosen the A and B bolts. See Fig 2.

NOTE: Bolt A cannot be removed.

Remove the power steering vane pump assembly with pressure feed tube. Disconnect the connector from the oil pressure switch. Loosen bolt A sufficiently so that bolt B can be removed.
Remove the pressure feed tube. Remove the oil pressure switch from the union bolt. Remove the union bolt and gasket.
