Stall Speed Test: Notes
- Operate engine and transaxle at normal operating temperature. Connect tachometer to vehicle and ensure it is visible to driver. Apply parking brake and block front and rear wheels.CAUTION: DO NOT maintain stall speed RPM for more than 5 seconds. Allow vehicle to idle in Neutral or Park for at least 2 minutes before performing next test.
- Start engine, apply service brakes and shift vehicle into "D" position. Depress accelerator to full throttle and note maximum RPM obtained. Repeat test in "R" position. For stall speeds, refer to the STALL SPEED SPECIFICATIONS table. See STALL SPEED TEST RESULTS.
