Removal & Installation (Land Cruiser)
- Hazard warning switch is mounted to back of center cluster finish panel. See Figure. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove steering wheel (if necessary). See STEERING WHEEL & AIR BAG . Remove steering column covers. Remove hood release and fuel door levers. Remove fuse block cover. Remove 4 screws from instrument panel lower finish panel.See Figure.
- Remove lower finish panel. Remove 5 screws from lower instrument panel. Remove lower instrument panel. Disconnect air duct. Loosen fasteners securing data link connector and fuse block. Carefully pry lower cluster finish panel loose from 5 retaining clips.
- Remove 2 retaining screws from upper cluster finish panel and pry panel loose from 2 retaining clips and air ducts. Remove 2 claws above cup holder. Remove cup holder and ashtray. Carefully pry center cluster finish panel from 8 retaining clips. Pull panel outward enough to disconnect connectors. Remove hazard switch from rear of panel. To install, reverse removal procedure.
