Wheel Bearings: Installation

  1. Using Installer (09608-30012) for inner bearing race and (09550-10012) for outer bearing race, install races. Pack bearings and center of hub with grease. Install inner bearing in drum/hub.
  2. Coat oil seal lip with grease. Using Seal Installer (09550-10012), install oil seal in drum/hub. Install drum/hub and outer bearing. Adjust wheel bearings. See WHEEL BEARING ADJUSTMENT under ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTION.
