Governor Pressure Test (A-241H)

  1. Transaxle must be at normal operating temperature of 122-176°F (50-80°C). Block rear wheels. DO NOT  apply parking brake. Raise vehicle. Shift mode selector lever into LOCK position.
    CAUTION: After finishing inspection, ensure selector lever is returned to FREE mode position.
  2. Remove transaxle test plugs and connect pressure gauge. See Figure. Start engine. Shift into "D" range. Measure governor pressure at speeds specified in GOVERNOR PRESSURE SPECIFICATIONS  table.

  3. Incorrect governor pressure may be caused by incorrect line pressure, leakage at governor pressure circuit or faulty governor valve.
