Disassembly (Upper Valve Body A-241H)

- Remove throttle valve retainer and check balls. Note which step from end of primary regulator valve sleeve contacts valve body.
- Push primary regulator valve sleeve inward and remove pin. Remove valve sleeve, primary regulator valve, valve plunger, plunger sleeve, shim and spring. See Fig 1.
- Remove lock-up relay valve. Remove control sleeve lock-up relay valve, spring and release valve. Remove 2nd coast or low coast valve and spring. Remove throttle cam, collar and spring.
- Remove throttle valve sleeve, kickdown valve or downshift plug, throttle valve and spring. Remove spring and adjusting shims. Note number of shims for reassembly reference. Remove throttle modulator valve.
- Remove accumulator control valve. Remove cut-back valve. Remove manual valve pin and plug.
- Remove No. 2 pressure regulator valve. Remove plug, plungers, valve and spring.
