Coolant Temperature Switch

  1. Disconnect engine coolant temperature switch connector. Connect ohmmeter between switch terminal and ground. Note resistance reading.
  2. Resistance should be zero ohms when coolant temperature is less than 109°F (43°C). Resistance should be infinite when coolant temperature exceeds 131°F (55°C). Replace as necessary.
