Instrument Cluster

CAUTION: When removing steering wheel horn/pad, DO NOT pull on air bag wiring harness. When storing steering wheel horn/pad, ensure pad surface faces upward.
  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove steering wheel. See STEERING WHEEL . Remove 2 screws retaining hood release lever. Remove 2 plastic screw covers, and all retaining screws and bolts from instrument panel lower finish panel. See Fig 1. Pull instrument panel lower finish panel away from left upper corner retaining clip and remove panel. Remove steering column covers.
  2. Unplug harness connectors and remove combination switch from steering column. Remove 2 screws from instrument cluster finish panel. Pull cluster finish panel away from 3 retaining clips just enough to disconnect electrical connectors on rear of panel. Remove panel.
  3. Remove 3 instrument cluster retaining screws. Pull cluster outward enough to disconnect wiring harness connectors and speedometer connector. Remove cluster. To install, reverse removal procedure.
