On Vehicle Inspection

  1. Use speedometer tester to inspect speedometer for allowable indicator error. Follow tester manufacturer's instructions. If error is excessive, replace speedometer. See appropriate SPEEDOMETER ERROR TABLE .
    NOTE: Tire wear or improper inflation can affect readings.
