  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove steering wheel. See STEERING WHEEL . Remove steering column covers.
  2. Remove hood release and fuel door levers. Remove 4 screws from instrument panel lower finish panel. Pry lower finish panel loose from 2 retaining clips. See Figure.
  3. Disconnect combination switch harness connectors. Remove combination switch assembly and turn signal bracket from steering column.
  4. Remove manual choke knob. Remove ashtray and mounting bracket. See Figure. Remove 3 screws retaining instrument cluster finish center switches panel. Pry panel loose from 6 retaining clips. Disconnect switch harness connectors.
  5. Remove 6 retaining screws from instrument cluster finish panel and pry panel loose from 2 retaining clips and air ducts. Remove 4 screws from instrument cluster.
  6. Pull cluster outward enough to disconnect speedometer cable and wiring harness connectors. Remove cluster. To install, reverse removal procedure.
