Instrument Cluster: (Camry)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove steering wheel. See STEERING WHEEL . Remove steering column covers.
  2. Remove coin box and housing from instrument panel lower finish panel. See Figure. Remove screw covers, retaining screws and remove instrument panel lower finish panel. Center cluster finish panel is held in position by retaining clips. Pry center cluster finish panel away from radio and disconnect lighter connector(s).
  3. Remove 4 retaining screws from instrument cluster finish panel. Instrument cluster finish panel is held in position by retaining clips. Carefully pry large one-piece instrument cluster finish panel away from dash. Disconnect electrical connectors and A/C-heater ducts.
  4. Remove instrument cluster retaining screws. Pull cluster outward from dash enough to disconnect wiring harness connectors and speedometer cable. Remove instrument cluster. To install, reverse removal procedure.
