Upper Suspension Arm & Axle Carrier: Installation
- Install upper suspension arm on axle carrier. Tighten ball joint nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table at end of article.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Install (but DO NOT tighten) upper suspension arm-to-body bolts, No. 1 and 2 lower suspension arm bolts and strut rod bolts.
- Tighten axle shaft nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table. Ensure reference mark and axle hub and disc rotor are aligned. Install wheels. Tighten wheel lug nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table.
- Lower vehicle. Bounce vehicle up and down to stabilize suspension. Tighten upper suspension arm-to-body bolts, No. 1 and 2 lower suspension arm bolts and strut rod bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table.
- Check rear wheel alignment. See SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in the WHEEL ALIGNMENT Section.
