Lower Suspension Arms & Strut Rod: Installation

To install, reverse removal procedure. Install (but DO NOT tighten) No. 2 lower suspension arm-to-axle carrier bolts, No. 1 and 2 adjusting cam nuts and strut rod-to-axle carrier bolt. Always install NEW nut on No. 1 lower suspension arm at axle carrier.
Install wheels. Tighten wheel lug nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table at end of article. Lower vehicle. Bounce vehicle up and down to stabilize suspension.
Tighten No. 2 lower suspension arm-to-axle carrier bolt, No. 1 and 2 adjusting cam nuts and strut rod-to-axle carrier bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table.
NOTE: Ensure reference marks are aligned on adjusting cams before tightening nuts to specification.
Ensure all nuts and bolts are tightened to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table. Check rear wheel alignment. See SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in the WHEEL ALIGNMENT Section.
