Removal & Disassembly

  1. Remove oil pan. See OIL PAN  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove union bolt, gasket and outlet pipe. See Figure. Remove retaining bolt and oil pump.
  2. Remove relief valve plug, spring and relief valve. Remove retaining bolts, oil pump cover and driven gear. Remove snap ring, spacer, shaft drive gear, key and drive shaft. See Figure.
