Oil Pump Drive Shaft: Installation

  1. To install thrust plate and collar, assemble on oil pump drive shaft and use press to install components. See Fig 2 and Fig 3 .
  2. To install oil pump drive shaft, reverse removal procedure. Rotate oil pump drive shaft during installation to avoid damaging oil pump drive shaft bearing. Tighten retaining bolt to specification. See appropriate TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table.
