Oil Pump Drive Shaft: Inspection

  1. Inspect oil pump drive shaft for damage. Measure oil pump drive shaft journal diameter. Standard journal diameter is 1.6126-1.6132" (40.960-40.975 mm) for front journal and 1.2976-1.2982" (32.959-32.974 mm) for rear journal.
  2. Inspect oil pump drive shaft bearings and ensure oil clearance is within specification. See OIL PUMP DRIVE SHAFT BEARINGS  under ENGINE OILING.
