Installation (MR2)

  1. Install anti-rattle springs and pad support plates. Install anti-squeal shims, pad wear indicators and NEW pads. Ensure wear indicator is on top edge of outer pad.
  2. Using Piston Spanner (09719-00020), turn piston clockwise until it turns freely. Align pad projection with piston stopper groove. Swing caliper down, ensuring boot does not wedge against pad.
  3. Install lower guide bolt. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS (MR2) table at end of article. Install wheel and tire assembly. Check reservoir fluid level. Set automatic parking brake adjuster by depressing brake pedal several times.
