Adjustment (MR2)

  1. Disc brake caliper is activated by parking brake lever. System is normally self-adjusting. Ensure cable lever on caliper moves freely and is against stop pin when parking brake is off.
  2. Pull up and release parking brake lever a few times. Depress brake pedal several times. Pull up parking brake lever. If an excessive number of clicks is required to activate brake, remove fuel tank undercover and adjust cable at equalizer link until lever travel is correct. Ensure lock nuts are tightened with equalizer link in horizontal position.
